Don’t shop around before you buy
Some 85% of dirt and water* enters your shop on the shoes of your customers. Around 0.58 grams per person on a dry day and ten times more when it’s wet*. It has been recently reported that this tracked-in dirt causes 95% of the appearance problems* on textile floors, which generates a negative impression.
Entry mats are one of the best strategies for reducing dirt and moisture before they enter the store. Not only do they protect existing flooring and create that all-important first impression, they also help ensure the safety of shoppers and shop floor staff. Plus they markedly reduce the cleaning, labour and subsequent energy costs that otherwise result from tracked-in dirt.
While renting mats might seem easier, you could soon find the predictable contract negotiations, additional admin and regular disruption to shoppers becomes annoying. Especially when their textile-based mats rapidly become saturated with dirt and water, rendering them ineffective, unattractive and potentially dangerous. Their need for regular, even weekly changing can also be a hassle.
The 3M™ Nomad™ Basic Entry Mat range combines ingenious product design with the ability to capture dirt and mask it discreetly whilst absorbing water for evaporation. And dependent on the levels of traffic, it can last for months. Flexible and easily dropped down in situ, 3M’s lightweight, conveniently packaged mats are manufactured in a discreet, complementary shade of grey that neither attracts attention nor draws it away from the surroundings, making them a real bargain for any retail establishment.
